This is a suitable replacement for any 6G6G=VT-198A Power Pentode tube type. Various brands available.
The 7189A has different internal pin connections different than a 6BQ5 = EL84 = CV2975 = E84L = 7189 tube type. Use only in circuits which call for a 7189A.

Very sweet sounding tubes with smoother low end and crisper high end than the original driver tubes. This is strongly recommended in tube-rolling threads, among others. Well worth the cost to upgrade.
