About Vacuum Tubes Unlimited
The #1 Online Source for NOS Vacuum Tubes
Vacuum Tubes Unlimited has been the trusted online source for New Old Stock (NOS) vacuum tubes for over two decades. Based in Houston, Texas, we serve audiophiles, hi-fi enthusiasts, recording engineers, and guitar players worldwide who demand the best possible tone, performance, and reliability from their tube-driven equipment.
We don’t sell mass-market new production tubes. We specialize in rare, authentic, professionally-tested NOS tubes from the golden era of tube manufacturing — Mullard, Telefunken, Amperex, RCA, GE, Sylvania, Western Electric, Brimar, Valvo, Bendix, Eimac, GEC, Philips, Siemens, Tung Sol, and other legendary makers. Every tube in our inventory has been authenticated and tested to standards most retailers can’t match.
Meet Joshua Syna — Owner & Vacuum Tube Specialist
Vacuum Tubes Unlimited is owned and personally operated by Joshua Syna, who brings more than 45 years of hands-on experience with vacuum tubes to every order. Joshua personally handles tube selection, testing, authentication, and packing — meaning every customer benefits directly from decades of expertise rather than the inconsistency of mass-market fulfillment.
Joshua’s deep knowledge of factory codes, plate structures, getter variations, and brand-specific manufacturing markers allows him to authenticate genuine NOS tubes and weed out the relabeled current production and used pulls that flood the online tube market. When you buy from Vacuum Tubes Unlimited, you’re buying tubes verified by someone who has spent a lifetime studying them.
Our Professional Testing Facility
Every tube we sell is tested on professional calibrated equipment in our dedicated testing facility. We measure transconductance (Gm), emission, gas content, shorts, and leakage — and every order receives free noise and microphonics screening, a service most retailers either skip entirely or charge extra for. Tubes that fail our standards are never listed for sale.
This testing process is why our customers can trust that the tubes arriving at their door will perform exactly as described. No tube roulette. No hoping for the best. Just verified, screened, ready-to-install vacuum tubes.
